Russia and Indonesia: 70 years of partnership

On February 20, 2020, representatives of Saint-Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics took part in a conference devoted to the development of international cooperation with the Republic of Indonesia.

Conference participants, university students and Vice-rector for external relations and working with applicants Vladimir Dmitriev heard reports on the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Indonesia at Nevskaya Ratusha Administrative and Business Center.
The event was organized by the Committee on External Relations of St. Petersburg and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation.

Conference participants were: the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Mohammad Wahid Supriadi; Ph. D., Lecturer of the Department of International Relations at University of Indonesia (South Asian Studies), Mr. Hariyadi Viravan; Doctor in Historical Sciences, Lecturer of Faculty of Humanities, University of Indonesia, Mr. Ahmad Fahruroji; President and Co-Founder of Bukalapak, a largest E-Commerce company, Mr. Fajrin Rashid and representatives of the largest universities in St. Petersburg, who discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two states.
At the conference, business contacts were established between the representatives of Saint-Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics and the University of Indonesia. Possible cooperation with its honorary professor and the largest Russian language specialist, Mr. Ahmad Fakhruroji, was also discussed.
