How to run a business in 3D environment

10 March 2021

Windesheim University of Applied Science invites UMTE students to join Virtual Exchange Program which will take place from April 8th – May 31st, 2021

You will have an exciting 7 weeks (3ECTS): you will learn how to transition towards circular business models by means of the Blue Connection simulation, and while doing so, explicitly develop intercultural and networking skills. Students from all over the world are joining in, so this offers an excellent opportunity for global learning!

This program takes place in a 3D environment where you team up into a group of four with students from foreign universities and become executives of your own virtual company. The Blue Connection is the world’s first circular business simulation game. You will become executive heads of the Purchasing, Supply Chain, Sales and Finance departments of a virtual e-bike manufacturing company. Together with your team, you will be transforming a linear value chain to a circular one!

You get to expand your international network, learn about circularity and develop your intercultural skills. You will have the opportunity to participate in various assessments and workshops that will help you build a truly global career.

Apart from meeting your peers, you will also have a chance to network with professionals from different fields, learn about different companies and hear from inspiring speakers.

The program focuses on 3 areas:

  • Introduction to Circular Economy
  • Internationalization & Development of Intercultural Skills
  • Building an international professional network

Students pay no tuition fees and will only invest in the accompanying literature and license to the game (expected to be about 80 euros in total).
