Anatoly Mordovets, Associate Professor of UMTE, became a finalist of the City Curator Competition

On April 16, the final of the XVIII city competition of curators of student communities and academic groups of higher education organizations in St. Petersburg took place at Herzen University.

The competition was organized by the Herzen State Pedagogical University in cooperation with the Council of Rectors of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region with the information support of the Committee on Science and Higher Education.

The main purpose of the competition is to popularize the activity of student community and academic group curators of higher education organizations, improve the activity of student curators and teacher-curators, improve the quality of youth policy implementation in St. Petersburg.

In total, 64 applications from 20 universities of St. Petersburg were submitted to the competition. Anatoly Mordovets, Associate Professor of the Department of Management of Socio-Economic Systems at the Institute of Management and Information Technologies, who is the curator of the student scientific community “Research of Socio-Economic Systems and Processes”, represented our university in the nomination “The Best Student Community Teacher-Curator”.

In his speech, Anatoly Mordovets shared his experience in organizing activities, highlighted the main pedagogical techniques, principles and rules that allow to achieve the goals of educational, scientific and educational work of the curator, presented to the professional jury experts the work program of the student community, as well as the main achievements of students.

The finalist was actively assisted by a support group consisting of representatives of the Institute's management and student community activists, who highly appreciated the professional and personal qualities of their mentor.

According to the results of the competition final part, Anatoly Mordovets was included in the TOP-5 best student community teacher-curators in St. Petersburg.
