Nikita Kotukov, a student of Saint Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics, won a silver medal in the long jump at The World Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan.
Nikita is a master's student at our UMTE, majoring in Economics and studying financial management.
The 11th World Para Athletics Championships are taking place in Kobe, Japan from May 17 to 25. More than 1,000 athletes from over a hundred countries will compete in 168 medal disciplines. The Russian national team is represented by 49 track and field athletes.
On May 18, Nikita Kotukov became the silver medalist of this prestigious competition in the long jump, having “snatched” victory from his competitors in the last attempt.
We sincerely congratulate Nikita on his silver medal and wish him to bring a gold medal from the Paralympic Games in Paris!
