UMTE students got acquainted with the peculiarities of doing business and culture of the Republic of Belarus

The implementation of the additional education program “Business and Culture of the Republic of Belarus”, within the framework of which a group of students of the Institute of Economics and Finance visited Minsk from June 4 to 7, has been completed.

During the trip the students had a rich program, which allowed the participants to get acquainted with the partner university – Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU), communicate with their peers, visit one of the leading enterprises of the Republic of Belarus - Minsk Tractor Plant, get acquainted with the producers of Belarusian products within the framework of the international specialized exhibition of food products “BELAGRO-2024”, see the main sights of the Belarusian capital, visit the China–Belarus Industrial Park “Great Stone”.

During the visit to the Belarusian State Technological University, George Varlamov, the head of the delegation, Head of International Cooperation Department, made a presentation of the St. Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics, and also discussed promising areas of cooperation with Olga Rogova, Head of the International Department of the Belarusian State Technological University, and Andrei Olferovich, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics.

The UMTE delegation visited the xylotheca (a unique collection of wood samples) of BSTU, which recently received the status of a national treasure, as well as the hunting studies room, the museum of the history of education of BSTU and the exhibition of scientific and technical developments of university scientists.

During the whole program the students had a great opportunity for formal and informal communication with BSTU students.
