Pride, Hope, Creativity: UMTE Hosts Graduation Ceremony for Advertising and Public Relations Graduates

On July 16, 2024, a graduation ceremony for Bachelor’s degree students in the field of «Advertising and Public Relations» was held in the Small Assembly Hall.

The ceremony was enhanced by creative performances. Arthur Adrshin, a laureate of international music competitions and a teacher at the E.A. Mravinsky Children's Art School, performed two pieces, while third-year student Ulyana Pyankina, studying «Advertising and Public Relations», sang the song «Bird».

The ceremonial proceedings were opened by Svetlana Avdashkevich, the First Vice-Rector of St. Petersburg University of Technology and Management. In her address, Svetlana Viktorovna reminded the advertising professionals about the importance of words in their profession, highlighting their constructive and destructive power, and emphasized the responsibility they hold towards themselves and society.

Honored guests came to congratulate the graduates.

Inna Vernidub, press secretary of «ExpoForum-International», the company organizing exhibitions and congresses in St. Petersburg and operator of the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Center, wished the graduates success in their professional and creative development, encouraging them to enhance their career skills and pursue self-improvement.

Invited expert consultant Evgeny Volodin from the Alexandrinsky National Drama Theater of Russia urged the graduates to remain beautiful both externally and internally and to be true to themselves in challenging circumstances.

Valery Slanov, Director of the Institute of Creative Industries and Hospitality at UMTE, delivered an official speech congratulating the graduates on completing their studies and wishing them success in their professional growth, emphasizing the importance of continuous development as specialists.

Sergey Alexandrov, head of the Department of Media Communications and Advertising at our university, acknowledged the role of parents in the education of students, thanked them for their patience and effort, and wished the graduates success in effectively monetizing their knowledge, skills, and abilities while fostering their professional competencies.

Teachers from the Department of Media Communications and Advertising, Elena Torgunakova and Anastasia Burakova, wished the graduates inspiration and creative success.

Graduate of the «Advertising and Public Relations» program Anastasia Kostrova shared her vivid and joyful impressions of her studies and expressed gratitude to her teachers and parents.
