New Agreement with a Chinese University

Saint Petersburg University of Technology Management and Economics Expands Cooperation with Universities in China.

On September 3, 2024, during the official visit of a delegation from Saint Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics, led by Rector Oleg Smeshko and Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs Anna Rumyantseva, an agreement on cooperation was signed with Yanbian University. 

The delegation from UMTE was welcomed by the Rector Cai Hongxing, Vice-Rector Zhang Xueyu, and the Head of the International Exchange Department Jin Yinsong. 

The university leaders discussed the main areas of cooperation, exchanged warm words in hopes of further mutually beneficial partnership, and presented memorable gifts to each other. 

The new agreement formalizes the friendly intentions of both parties to develop academic mobility programs, conduct joint research, and create and implement collaborative courses and programs. These and other opportunities are now available for students and faculty of both universities.

Yanbian University is located in Yanji, the capital of the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture. Established in 1949, the university significantly contributes to the training of highly qualified professionals for Jilin Province and is one of the leading higher education institutions in China. The university offers over 70 undergraduate programs and more than 90 master's programs across a wide range of educational fields. It has developed a modern infrastructure to support scientific research activities.
