Representatives of the University Were Included in the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences

The Presidium of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS) elected representatives of the St. Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics as members of the Academy for the section of interdisciplinary problems of science and education.

The members of the branch «Economic Sciences and Education» of the Section of Interdisciplinary Problems of Science and Education of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences became:

Vladimir Dmitriev - Vice-Rector for External Relations and Work with Applicants.

Elena Tarasova - Head of the Department of Management and State and Municipal Management of Smolensk Institute of Economics - branch of UMTE.

Irina Chernenkova - Head of the Department of Economics and Service of the Smolensk Institute of Economics - branch of UMTE.

The decision on their election was accepted at the extended meeting of the Presidium of the Section of Interdisciplinary Problems of Science and Education of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, which was held on September 10 at UMTE.

Vasily Novikov, Vice-President of RANS, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology, Honored Scientist of Russia, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honorary Professor of UMTE, summed up the main results of activity and achievements of the Section of Interdisciplinary Problems of Science and Education of RANS in 1995 - 2024.

The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences is an all-Russian public scientific organization uniting scientist of all directions - natural scientists, creators of science-intensive technologies and humanities, driven by a common desire to promote self-expression of creative personality, development of education, expansion of fundamental and applied scientific research, formation of civil society in Russia.

Oleg Smeshko, Rector of UMTE, told about his participation in the Eastern Economic Forum, which was held on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University (Vladivostok).

The scientific part of the meeting was dedicated to Fyodor Ushakov - one of the most famous military commanders in the history of Russia, an outstanding Russian naval commander.
