To work for a major company with the help of "Aсtion Students" and the university

On October, 3 a regular career master class and a career guidance meeting with representatives of the All-Russian educational platform "Action Students" were held for students of UMTE.

This time, the students met with Daria Malyshkina, the manager of the "Management" division of the All-Russian Educational Platform "Action Students", and Kirill Ponomarev, the ambassador of the "Management" division.

"Action Students" is a platform for skills development aimed at connecting students with the largest employers in the country. In this top youth project, students can undergo online courses in their field, attend master classes, and participate in accelerators, hackathons, and case championships. And it's absolutely free!

Currently, the project already has more than 235 thousand students from 2772 educational institutions in 87 regions of Russia.

The educational courses available on the platform give students the practical skills necessary for their first year of work across 10 different fields.

Some of the courses are focused on hard skills – they provide basic practical skills in the chosen profession. The other part is based on soft skills. This course assists to develop the personal qualities which are necessary for any activity, for example, the competence to work in a team. The third part is cross skills. They provide knowledge in various professional fields and allow people to become a multifunctional specialist.

The main feature of "Action Students" is a digital passport of skills.

This is a great tool that makes it easier to pass interviews for your dream job and get into an awesome company. You can obtain your skills passport for free; you just need to complete the courses in your field. Students register on the educational platform "Action Students", complete practical training courses, and after that, their resumes become available for employers. At the meeting, Daria Malyshkina and Kirill Ponomarev detailed how to fill out your skills-passport, how to secure an internship through accelerators, hackathons, and case championships.

At the end of the meeting a raffle of gifts was held for the most active students.
