On October 29, students of the Institute of Creative Industries and Hospitality visited the Creative Industries Center of the State Academic Capella by the guidance of the Director of the Institute, Valery Slanov.
The head of the Creative Industries Center of the State Academic Capella, Svetlana Kuropatkina, presented one of the main Russian centers of musical art to students. The students plunged into the music treasury atmosphere, while taking a sightseeing tour with an inspection of historical building complex, the Concert and Chamber Halls and the Gallery exhibitions. They also visited Carlos Pardo Gomez exhibition in the White Hall of the Capella and 100th anniversary exhibition of Pyotr Korostelev. Additionally, the students explored such places as the Tsar's Pavilion, the royal box and backstage areas that usually are not available for visiting. They also got acquainted with the Capella’s music library in which scores and the Capella’s historical documents are kept.
Advertising and Public Relations graduate students not only enjoyed an engaging introductory tour but also learned about internship and pre-diploma practice opportunities. Moreover, they were given some details about the work on the diploma thesis.
Discussions were held on various prospects of cooperation between the Institute of Creative Industries and Hospitality of Saint Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics and the Creative Industries Center of the State Academic Capella.

The Creative Industries Center of the State Academic Capella was established to preserve and develop Russian art. The Capella implements innovative artistic projects in collaboration with representatives of the creative industries, cultural institutions, research and educational centers and authoritative experts.
The programs of the Creative Industries Center aim to promote the Capella’s activities and popularize classical musical art, including choral singing. Efforts to create groundbreaking educational and entertaining content contribute to cultivating an appreciation of the world’s musical heritage among teenagers and students.
The Creative Industries Center consists of such art spaces as the courtyards of the Capella, a coworking zone, a concert hall, a museum, an art gallery, a chamber hall for experimental programs and a cinema hall. The Capella regularly hosts diverse creative events that intertwine music, painting, photography, fashion, sports and cookery.
Svetlana Kuropatkina is the head of the Creative Industries Center of the State Academic Capella and Vice Rector for External Relations at the Higher Art and Technical Institute. She is a cultural figure, journalist, member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia and the Eurasian Art Union, director of the contemporary art gallery “MoiKa 104 Gallery”, initiator and curator of the public art festival “The Courtyards of the Capella”, curator of the mobile exhibition project “Sreda Obitaniya” (“Habitat”), producer of the Saint Petersburg Art Week and host of the television program "Art Business."
