On 13th November, 2024 a letter of intention for bilateral scientific cooperation was signed between Saint Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics (UMTE) and Bukhara State University (Republic of Uzbekistan).
Today marks the start of Anna Rumyantseva’s (UMTE Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs) visit to Uzbekistan. The purpose of the visit is strengthening ties with partner universities and establishing new professional connections.
One of the first events of this trip was Anna Rumyantseva’s visit to Bukhara State University. During the visit, both parties held negotiations and agreed on further development of scientific collaboration. They decided to expand the areas and forms of cooperation, carry out joint scientific initiatives and encourage the exchange of scientific information and publications of mutual interest. At the end of the meeting, a letter of intent was signed.
UMTE established its partnership with Bukhara State University on 15 February, 2024. Since then, the universities have successfully implemented a number of events, including the roundtable discussion "World Heritage of CIS Countries: Russia-Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan" as part of the international scientific and practical conference for students titled "Heritage in the young hands: new trends". They also held a series of "Cultural Heritage of Russia and Uzbekistan: Great and Unique" online lectures and many other activities.
