On December 4, 2024, Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Public and Municipal Administration, Tatyana Vinogradova, participated in the International Scientific and Theoretical Conference at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The conference was dedicated to the topic «Prevention of Corruption as a Means of Protecting Human Rights and Ensuring the Efficiency of Public Administration: Current Status and Prospects».
The conference was held in honor of the anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Anti-Corruption Day.
During the conference, Tatyana Vinogradova gave a speech on the correlation between budget transparency, citizen participation, and the quality of public administration. She also presented an article to the conference proceedings. The speech was based on theoretical concepts and empirical data from the Open Budget Survey conducted by the International Budget Partnership. Special attention was paid to the role of transparency in building trust in public institutions, reducing corruption and enhancing the productivity of government expenses.
The participation in the conference provided an opportunity to discuss pressing issues of anti-corruption efforts and human rights protection with colleagues from many universities and scientific schools across CIS countries, as well as to share their expertise in improving the transparency of public finances.
