On October 23–24, 2025, the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Sustainable Development (ESG): Finance, Economics, Management, Industry” was held at St. Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics.
The conference on this topic traditionally takes place at the university in October. In the welcoming speech, Anna Rumyantseva, Vice-Rector for Science and International Affairs, noted that the Department of International Finance and Accounting was the organizer of the conference, which is why the focus is mainly on finance. Anna Rumyantseva thanked her colleagues for participating in this event annually. Gratitude was also expressed to the university’s partners — the Center for International Finance of the Research Financial Institute of the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the North-West Main Branch of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, and the Belarusian National Technical University.
The discussion at the plenary session was highly substantive: participants asked many questions to the speakers and offered their own perspectives on the issues under discussion.
The debate continued during the session “Sustainable Development in Finance, National and Global Economy”, which brought together representatives of real-sector businesses and higher education institutions from various regions.
On the second day of the conference, the floor was given to students, master’s students, and postgraduates — a separate session was organized especially for them.
