Visit of a delegation from Indonesia

On June 21, 2023 a meeting with a delegation from the University of Lampung (Indonesia) was held at Saint Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics.

Negotiations between the Saint Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics and University of Lampung began several months ago, at the beginning of the spring semester. And now we get the first results: on June 21 a delegation from University of Lampung, headed by Lusmeilia Afriani, the Rector, visited Saint Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics. Furthermore, Indonesian students are planning actively to participate in the online summer school “Russian Business Culture”. 

Before discussing areas of cooperation, each rector made welcoming remarks. Rector of UMTE Oleg Smeshko thanked the delegation for their long-awaited visit and wished the guests a pleasant stay in St. Petersburg as it was not an easy flight. In the response, the Rector of University of Lampung thanked the UMTE for the warm welcome and expressed her hope for fruitful cooperation. 

During the meeting, the universities agreed to proceed to the active development of academic mobility programs. In addition to academic exchanges, the representatives reached agreements in the field of research activities: joint publication activity, organization of joint conferences, forums, seminars and other scientific and academic events. The universities are also interested in joint scientific research. In addition, the universities plan to develop joint educational programs as the next stage of cooperation.

The universities agreed to strengthen all agreements by signing a cooperation agreement and an exchange agreement.
At the end of the meeting, the universities exchanged commemorative gifts.
