Meeting with a representative of Gulistan State University

On June 27, 2023, Saint Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics hosted Zokir Zikryaev, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Gulistan State University (Uzbekistan).

Zokir Zikryaev, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Gulistan State University, met with Anna Rumyantseva, Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs, and George Varlamov, head of the International Cooperation Department.

Zokir Mamirovich presented his university, spoke about the scientific and educational potential, as well as the experience of international cooperation. The main purpose of his visit was to discuss opportunities for cooperation between universities. Representatives of universities determined promising areas of cooperation and agreed to sign a cooperation agreement.

Gulistan State University was founded on the basis of the Syrdarya State Pedagogical Institute, which began its work for the first time in 1965. Today, the university has six faculties: philological, physical and mathematical, pedagogical, culture and sports, socio-economic, faculty of natural sciences. The university has created the necessary material and technical base for training and development of research activities.
