Anastasia Tunkiv, 1st year student of “Project management”, Ksenia Bolsun , 1st year student of “Media Communications”, Elizaveta Knyazeva and Maria Pastukhova, 2nd year students of “Media Communications”, Katrin Lisyukova, 3rd year student of “Linguistics, translation and theory of translation”, and Kristina Rozhkova, 4th year student of “Psychology”, participate as volunteers at the World Youth Festival 2024.

All the girls already have a significant background in organizing and holding of national and international events. This time they also successfully passed the competitive selection organized by the Educational Foundation “Talent and Success”. Only 5,000 volunteers were selected from all over Russia, and the delegation of volunteers from St. Petersburg consisted of 76 people. From February 24 to February 29, the training of volunteers of the World Youth Festival took place. On March 1, the Festival was launched. Let’s wish our girls successful volunteering! A very eventful week is ahead, which is sure to be the most unforgettable experience of their student life!

The World Youth Festival is one of the largest youth events in the world, which will be held from March 1 to March 7, 2024 on the Sirius Federal Territory in Sochi. The festival will host 20,000 Russian and foreign young leaders in business, media, international cooperation, culture, science, education, volunteering and charity, sports, various spheres of public life, as well as teenagers representing various children's organizations and associations. Foreign citizens at the ages from 18 to 35 will come from 180 countries. They are leaders of youth NGOs, young diplomats, scientists, experts in international relations, journalists, entrepreneurs, cultural figures, students and volunteers.

The World Youth Festival will become a platform for open conversation and exchange of opinions. Here everyone will be able to express their position and be heard at the same time, unite to solve social problems, help each other in building a just world. Festival guests will be able to take part in master classes, discussions, panel sessions and trainings, see performances of the best creative teams and spend time at concerts and talk shows together with famous artists. The following events are planned within the framework of the festival:

  • The Russian State Food&Drink Festival
  • Business Game “Media Profi: Publish, Communicate, Promote”;
  • Street Art Festival “New Forms”;
  • Exhibition “The Most Beautiful Country”;
  • Ilya Averbukh's Ice Show.

The festival's partners include companies representing various industries: Sberbank PJSC, VK LLC, Rosatom State Corporation, Russian Railways JSC, Aeroflot PJSC, SIBUR Holding PJSC and others.

The festival is the beginning of a new friendship and mutual enrichment of cultures and traditions of different nations. This is a dialogue and a search for mutual understanding, regardless of nationalities, political views, cultural peculiarities.
