St. Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics joined the Eurasian Charter of Business Education, which was signed within the framework of the Eurasia Higher Education Summit “EURIE” in Istanbul (Turkey)
The delegation of UMTE represented by Rector Oleg Smeshko and Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs Anna Rumyantseva took part in the Eurasia Higher Education Summit “EURIE”, which was held from February 26 to 29 in Istanbul (Turkey).
The signing of the Eurasian Charter of Business Education took place within the framework of this event. This historic document laid the foundation for the creation of the International Educational Alliance “Business Eurasia”, which became a significant step in the development and integration of business education in the Eurasian space. The creation of the alliance is aimed at the creating of new standards and approaches in business education that will meet the specifics and traditions of the Eurasian region. One of the tools of cooperation should be a digital platform that will allow partners to combine forces to jointly implement and promote educational programs and courses, including such innovative products as the course “Eurasian Expert”.
The Charter signing ceremony was attended by representatives of foreign leading business schools from Turkey, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, as well as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the Republic of Belarus and Russia.
The event brought together more than 2000 higher education specialists from 55 countries, becoming a platform for discussing the future of business education, exchanging views and finding new ways for joint development and prosperity in the field of education on the Eurasian continent.
